Fishing [Free Trout Fishing]
Orkney's lochs are praised for their world-class quality
of fishing in a new book, 'Angling Lines : Fishing in
Scotland', written by angler and fishing writer, Bruce
Sandison.
On Sanday, Bea Loch is described as having exceptional
fish, including wild brown trout. Other lochs on Sanday
are Roos Loch and North Loch.
Walking
Sanday, as the name implies, is blessed with some
beautiful and unspoilt sandy beaches where one can enjoy
a peaceful walk and admire the clear blue seas.
Nature
The Local Ranger has a series of organised walks
throughout the season but he will also provide advice on
where one should go to see seals, otters and numerous
birds.
Archaeology
History abounds in Orkney and there are several sites on
Sanday that are worthy of visiting. |
